E.S. Narayanan was born on February 15, 1904 in Palghat, India.

Education

E.S. Narayanan was educated at the University of Madras, where he obtained his Master of Arts. He continued his studies at the University of London, where he received Doctor of Philosoph. Also he did research in Entomology.

Career

E.S. Narayanan worked as the Head of Entomology Division at Indian Agricultural Research Institute and as Principal at Central College of Agriculture in New Delhi. Since 1962 - Director at Central Sericultural Research Institute (Channapatna), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and Principal Scientific Adviser of Central Silk Board.
