Career
While based in California in 1988 Wilmott published the book Supercomputing Review (). He later founded an award-winning magazine of the same name. He then went on to launch one of the world"s first commercial Internet services, aimed at the Super Computing market.
Returning to the United Kingdom in the mid 90s he founded Online Magic, with Andy Hobsbawm, the company later became part of the Agency.com network.
Wilmott oversaw the launching of Europe"s first real time cr card verification system, the world"s first e-zine, and web sites for Manchester Utd., British Airways, Sporting Index, Channel 4 and others He was part of the team that took Agency.com public in 1999 at a market cap of over 2 billion dollars.
Wilmott left Agency.com around the turn of the millennium, for a new life in Wiltshire, England. "Horses First Racing", co-owned with Australian trainer, Jeremy Gask, utilises both cutting edge scientific methods and training tools as well as making horse welfare a priority.
July 2010 Wilmott was appointed Chairman of the Board of Thoroughbred Owner and Breeder Magazine.
November 2012 Wilmott co-founded Total Performance Data Limited with Will Duff Gordon. March 2013 Wilmott was appointed to the Board of Mark Allen Group
December 2014 Wilmott was appointed to the Board of BHA.
