Served with this regt. on Mexican Border, 1916-1917. Re-enlisted in United States Navy, serving as Radio operator until close of war. Began farming and stock raising in the spring of 1919.
Engaged in operating and owning a large ranch near Farmingdale, South Dakota Leader in Farm Organization work in Western South Dakota President, Pennington Company Farmers Union, 1928. Holds Directorship in South Dakota Farmers Union, 1929-1930.
