Instructor dental anatomy, University of Iowa, and operative dentistry technic, College of Dentistry, State University of Iowa, assistant professor operative dentistry, 1919-1920, assistant professor clinical prosthetic dentistry, 1920-1923, professor, head of department since 1923.

Civilian consultant in prosthetic dentistry to the Surgeon General, United States Army, 1944-1946.

Politics

The state should not attempt to control the church, nor should the church seek to dominate the state. The separation of church and state should not be misconstrued as the abolition of all religious expression from public life.

Views

Church members should be close and caring to feel each other's pains and problems. The good of the whole body of the Christian society should be put before individual needs.
