He was an outfielder for one season (1960) with the Detroit Tigers. Foreign his career, he compiled no hits in one at-bat and appeared in two games. An alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, he was born and later died in Kewanee, Illinois at the age of 74.
