Career
He went to college at Saint Thomas University (New Brunswick) where he played collegiate ice hockey. After graduating from Saint Thomas University (New Brunswick), Edan leaped right into the pro game. He played three seasons with the now-defunct Macon Trax of the ACHL/WHA2/SPHL. When the Trax folded, Welch signed a contract with the expansion Pee Dee Cyclones of the SPHL. He was the team"s leading goalscorer in the 2005 to 2006 season.
Welch has signed with the Fayetteville FireAntz for the 2007-2008 season.
Edan played for the Huntsville Havoc for part of the 2008-2009 season. Then he was traded to Twin City Cyclones.
