Winnng the Rotch Traveling Scholarship in 1887, Josselyn went to Paris and the following year passed the entrance examination to the Ecole des Beaux Arts.
Returning to the U. S. Mr. Josselyn worked in association with other architects for a year or more, and after establishing his own office was awarded many important commissions. Among his best known works were the Charlton and Speyer Schools at Columbia University; Clarkson School of Technology at Potsdam, N. Y. 1894; New Rochelle (N.Y.) High School, and was associated with the firm of Howells & Stokes on the Horace Mann School in New York. Mr. Josselyn also designed Town Halls at Stamford and New Canaan, Conn.
While in Paris he assisted in organizing the Society of Beaux Arts Architects and became one of the ten charter members.
