He was graduated in architecture at the University of Illinois.
After beginning work in Cleveland, Mr. Stanley moved to Youngstown in 1911. There he formed a partnership with Morris W. Scheibel, and continued practice until the mid-twenties, engaged in designing schools, theaters, stores and office buildings. Among Scheibel & Stanley's major works in Youngstown were the Medbury Building; Madison School, 1915; City Hospital, 1913; Y.W.C.A. Building; Capitol Theatre, 1920, and the Realty Office Building, 1921.
Emeritus member of the Cleveland Chapter at the time of his death.
