Career

Elected to an open Mathematical Scholarship at New College, Oxford, 1885. Obtained 1st Class Honours in the Final School of Mathematics and Physics, 1889. Senior Mathematical and Science Master at Edinburgh Collegiate School under Doctor Bryce, 1889-1892.

For ten years Senior Mathematical Master at Leamington College. In 1902 appointed to the Head mastership of St. Albans School, Hertfordshire—the oldest school in England, w'hich occupies the old monastic buildings over the old Abbey Gateway, adjoining the Cathedral. j. Headmaster, St. Albans School, Hertfordshire.

Interests

• Represented Oxford v. Cambridge in the cross-country match, 1888. Played football under Rugby rules for Coventry, Clifton, Middlesex Wanderers, and other first-class teams.
