Career
He was nearly a point per game player in his time in the National Hockey League, but his National Hockey League career was cut short by injury. A Merritt, British Columbia native, Beers played for the Calgary Flames and Saint Louis Blues. He also played for the University of Denver in the National Collegiate Athletic Association for the years of 1979–1982 and led the National Collegiate Athletic Association in scoring his senior season.
