Career

He played college football at Fordham University. He returned to Rose Hill as the head coach for the Rams from 1946-1954, amassing a record of 29-44-3 (401). His 1949 squad reached #20 in the polls

He grew up in Aquebogue, his father, Anton, was a Polish immigrant.

Achievements

• Danowski played for the New York Giants for seven seasons (1934–1939,1941) and quarterbacked the team when they won the 1934 and 1938 NFL Championship Games.
