He would have taken her in his arms, but again she evaded him. As they stood in the alley, Medora was next the street, now. "My love! That sounds so nice," she continued. "I have pined to hear you speak these words again, Carlos. To me they are sweeter than honey. For now, and only now, shall I be fully avenged." Elgin Academy; Aberdeen University (Master of Arts and gold medallist for English Literature). Followed the profession of journalism in India, Australia, and America, and has travelled widely as a special correspondent.
Engaged in journalism as editorial writer on staff of the Glasgow Herald, the Times of India, Melbourne (Australia) Age, and Los Angeles (California) Times. Senior Lieutenant Bombay Vol. Artillery, 1888-1889.
Has traveled as special correspondent over Europe, Morocco, the Canary Islands, Egypt, India, Ceylon, Java, Indo-China, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Canada and United States. Attended as special correspondent international expns. at Chicago, 1893, Antwerp, 1894, Paris, 1900, St. Louis, 1904, Portland, Oregon, 1905. Author: The Temple of Death, 1894.
