Parsons, Edmund Byrd was born on November 21, 1864 in Moscow, Texas, United States. Son of Edmund Cantrell Bethell and Marjanna Caroline (Byrd) Parsons.

Preparatory education, Moscow Masonic High school and Masonic Institute (both defunct). Doctor of Medicine Tulane, 1885.

Career

Practiced in eastern Texas 10 years, at Palestine, Texas, since 1900. Chief surgeon International-Great Northern Railroad Hospital, at Palestine, since 1917. Chief surgeon Missouri-Pacific Lincolnshire, Texas and Louisiana.

Former member Texas State Board of Health, and health officer Palestine and Anderson Company.
