O’Gorman, Edmundo was born on November 29, 1906 in Coyoacán, Federal District, Mexico. Son of Cecil Crawford O’Gorman, mining engineer from Warwickshire, England, who became a notable Mexican painter, and Encarnación Moreno. Brother of Juan O’Gorman, notable Mexican painter and muralist.
