Career

Edward E. Adams was a plant safety supervisor at American Can Corporation, Jersey City, New-Jersey in 1947-1950, then he worked as a corporate safety manager at Diamond Match Corporation in New-York City (1950-1955), he got a position of corporate safety manager between 1955-59 at General Baking, New York City.

He was a safety manager in 1959-63 at Pet, Incorporation, St. Louis, Missouri. Afterwards, he became a director of loss prevention in 1963-87 at this company.

He also served at U.S. Army Air Forces as a pilot in 1943-45 and became the second lieutenant.

Achievements

• He received the best paper prize in the American Society of Safety Engineers in 1986 for "Quality revolution: a threat or benefit for the security profession?"
