Career
Chambers had an amateur record of 60-20. Eddie started boxing professionally in 2000 at the age of 18. In 2006 he took a further step upward by defeating former title challenger Editor Mahone and renowned clubfighter Domonic Jenkins (in spite of his record of only 9-5 Jenkins had beaten several prospects).
In May 2007, Chambers stopped 15–0 Derric Rossy and defeated Dominic Guinn on Shobox.
Chambers beat Calvin Brock via split decision in semifinals, but lost unanimously to Alexander Povetkin in the final bout. Chambers versus Klitschko
On March 20, 2010 he faced Wladimir Klitschko for his first ever title shot in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Klitschko defeated Chambers by knockout five seconds before the end of the final round. Klitschko began punching more often during the final round than he had done before which eventually led to his left hook hitting Chambers and knocking him out.
Post Klitschko fights
Chambers then moved down to Cruiserweight for a fight with South African contender Thabiso Mchunu.
Following the rapid weight loss, Chambers gave a relatively poor showing and was outboxed by his South African foe over ten rounds. From 2013 to 2015, Chambers was based solely in the United Kingdom. Since then Chambers has signed with First Rate (at Lloyd's) Haymon and made his United States return in late 2015.
Eddie Chambers appeared on the video game, Fight Night Round 4 as a heavyweight.
He regularly appears as a commentator on the United Kingdom boxing television channel Box Nation.
