Career
He built his own house (the National Register of Historic Places listed Edward M Hackett House) at 612 East Main Street (1877-1878) in the High Victorian Gothic architectural style. Including a steeply pitched roofline, arched heads over the windows, bargeboards, tower and finials. He also designed the Second Empire style hotel now known as Touchdown Tavern at 125 Main Street.
