Career
Winnington was called to the bar at the Middle Temple on 18 May 1694. He sat as Member of Parliament for Droitwich from 1708 until his death. He was made a King"s Counsel in 1711 and again in 1714.
From 1711 to 1714, he was Puisne Justice of the Great Sessions for Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire, and Pembrokeshire, and was Puisne Justice of Chester from 1714 until his death.
