Leeson is the son of filmmaker and War Child founder Bill Leeson.

Previously the lead singer for Larrikin Love in which he performed under the stage name Edward Larrikin, he currently performs with under the stage name Edward Eke. On 9 December 2007, following the split of Larrikin Love, Leeson unveiled his new project "" at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith, December 2007. Lee stated that the band"s shows would be "a step forward from your average concert and will blur theatre, performance and music".
Further shows took place, including a small United Kingdom tour, a slot for the British Broadcasting Corporation at 2008"s South by South West festival in Austin, Texas, United States of America where they performed on the same bill as MGMT and Florence and The Machine as part of Steve Lamaq"s BBC6 night, and a New Year"s Eve show with Foals and Metronomy.
The band released their debut single "Young god/bad thing" on 10 November 2008. A double A Side single "Fire Dance/O.R.L.D" was released in June 2009.
Although plans were afoot for a debut album, the band split with no announcement. In March 2008, Lee showcased a short play/one-man monologue written and directed by himself, "" at the London Word Festival.
The play was also performed at the Laugharne Weekend, alongside performances by Patti Smith, Will Self and DBC Pierre.
Leeson has written for a number of magazines, journals, pamphlets and books, most recently contributing to the German Keskustapuolue (Centre Party) journal and Punk Fiction (Portico 2009)
Leeson collaborated with visual artist Jonas Mekas at the Serpentine Gallery Poetry Marathon in Hyde Park in October 2009. The film/poetry performance was part of a 2-day event that featured Tracey Emin, Gilbert&George, Brian Eno, and Agnes Varda among others In 2011, Leeson formed with Alice Davies and Matthew McGough.
Their debut European Parliament Making Waves was released on 28 November 2011, through Abeano.
Further singles, Body Weatner/Azul in 2012 and Aurora in 2013 were released through Not Even. In 2014 the band released the single "Pure4sure / Aia".
