Background
He was the son of Charles Yallop of Bowthorp Hall, Norfolk, by his wife Ellen, daughter and heiress of Sir Edward Barkham, bart., of Westacre, Norfolk. Edward"s grandfather, Sir Robert Yallop, married Dorothy, daughter of Clement Spelman.
