Is the eldest son and heir apparent of Timothy Tollemache, 5th Baron Tollemache. On his maternal side, he is related to the Goschen Baronets and Viscounts Goschen. Through the paternal line, he is connected to the Earldom of Dysart. From 1988 to 1990 he was a Page of Honour to The Queen. He was educated at Marlborough College (1991–1995). He graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Business Management and Marketing in 1999. Tollemache worked at Merrill Lynch between graduation and 2002.
