Representative, by appointment of Governor Roosevelt, with former state engineer, and two senators and two assemblymen, elected by their different bodies, on Bridge Authority Commission, to recapture Bear Mountain Bridge across the Hudson, Peace Bridge at Buffalo, the bridge at Poughkeepsie and to build two other bridges on the Hudson and one or more international bridges across the Saint Lawrence River (this commission being still in existence).
Member of committee of 12 American publishers and editors selected by British Government, 1918, to inspect British operations on the battle lines in Europe.
