Secretary of the United States Department for Veterans Affairs, 1989—1992. Delegate Republican National Convention, 1976, 1980. President Derwinski & Associates, since 1993.

Legislation consultant of Morrill & Associates, Chicago. Chairman of the executive committee United States Group to Interparliamentary Union, 1970-1972, 78-80.
