Chief Justice of the Straits Settlements, 1889-1892. And of British Guiana, 1894-1898. Chief Judge of His (or Her) Majesty Supreme Consular Court for the Ottoman Empire, 1898-1903.
Member of Mauritius Royal Commission, 1909-1910. Contested South Kensington, 1906. Vice-Chairman of Quarter Sessions for Oxfordshire.
Esquire of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem. Cartulary-register 1891; Justice of the Peace Oxfordshire.
