Served First lieutenant and captain 52d Ohio Infantry, 1862-1865. Captain on staff General William T. Sherman. Was In battles of Perryville, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, Mission Ridge, Kenesaw Mountain, Jonesboro’ (wounded), and other engagements.
Mustered out at close of war.
