He studied architecture at Cornell University where he was graduated in 1912.
Beginning his career in New York Mr. LaRoche was a member of the Trowbridge & Livingston office for a number of years, later worked with firms in other cities. About 1920 he accepted a position to teach in the Architectural Department at Texas, but resigned that position after a few years and moved to Dallas where he opened an architectural office in partnership with Herbert M. Greene, continuing that association until shortly before his death when George L. Dahl became a member of the firm. During his practice Mr. LaRoche’s principal works were collegiate buildings in the south.
