Began in Madison Square Theatre, New York, 1879. Starred as Osip in The Danicheffs, touring United States, 1881-1882. Starred in Foreign Her Sake, 1896-1898.

Succeeded father as director Lawrence School Elocution and Acting, New York, upon his death, 1882.

Served in Europe, under Herbert Hoover, with Common for Relief in Belgium, 1915. Associate editor Athol (Massachusetts) Chronicle, 1919-1920.

Editorial writer Miami (Florida) Herald, 1921, special feature writer for newspapers, 1922. Associate editor, Palm Beach Times, West Palm Beach, Florida, 1923-1925.

Now engaged in literature work.
