Efrat "Effi" Baler was born in 1960 in Jerusalem, Yerushalayim, Israel.
Efrat "Effi" Baler studied at the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem, Israel, and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Painting. She won the Helena Rubinstein American-Israeli Culture Foundation Scholarship in 1983.
Efrat "Effi" Baler has been living in Brooklyn, NY since 1993 and has a studio there as well. In 1998 she toured the Bay area for lectures on the History of Israeli Art.
Efrat "Effi" Baler has taught painting and drawing at Israeli community centers and has been a guest lecturer at corporate events. She also teaches art privately and prepares young adults for High School portfolios and auditions.
Efrat "Effi" Baler has participated in over 28 group shows and 5 solo exhibitions in the United States, Israel, and Germany. She currently also works part-time for the Tate Americas Foundation.
