Career
He was one of the most popular Danish painters. Eilersen was educated at the Royal Art Academy at Copenhagen in 1847. Eilersen mostly worked on landscapes from the island Fyn and forest scenes from northern Zealand.
Many of Eilersen"s works have been compared with the likes of Justice of the Peace Möllers and Professional Corporation Skovgaard.
Eilersen worked and traveled all around Europe and has done a long series of landscapes from Italy, France and Germany. Charlottenborg: 1849-1911.
