After leaving Middlesbrough in the summer of 2014, Okosieme suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for the whole of the 2014-2015 season
In 2015, he signed for Bishop Stortford. While playing for Stortford, after a whole season out, Okosieme was being monitored by various clubs including Reading and Charlton Athletic.
