Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with distinction, Vikram University, Ujjain, India, 1964. Master in Aeronautical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, 1966. Doctor of Philosophy in Aeronautical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, 1980.

Career

Senior research fellow National Aeronautical Laboratory, Bangalore, 1966-1967. From lecturer to associate professor Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, 1967—1993, professor, 1993—2005, chairman department aerospace, 1995-1998. Emeritus fellow All India Council Technology Education, since 2005.

Convenor Computational Fluid Dynamics group Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, 1986—1988, principal coordinator Center for Computational Fluid Dynamics, 1996—2005. Teacher, organizer short-term courses. Invited speaker, lecturer various organizations.
