Career
Author Elaine Hosozawa-Nagano has always loved to write. She was a former writer and producer for a Los Angeles radio station. Her first book Chopsticks from America was published in Chicago in 1995. The volume is a children’s picture book containing the illustrations of traditional Japanese artist Masayuki Miyata. The story, written for third and fourth-grade level readers, is about a Japanese-American family that moves to a suburb of Tokyo, Japan.
