Hanecy, Elbridge was born on March 15, 1852 in in Wisconsin. Son of William and Mary (Wales) Hanecy.
Studied at College of Milwaukee. Went to Chicago, 1869. Admitted to bar, 1874.
Judge Circuit Court of Cook Company, Illinois, 1893-1903, Superior Court, 1903-1904. Was 3 times elected umpire of the board of arbitration for adjusting differences between the Brickmakers’ and Stonemasons’ Association and their employes. Republican nominee for mayor of Chicago, 1901.
