Elected to Washington State Senate, for dist. comprising Columbia, Garfield and Asotin Cos., 1916. Served in 1917 and 1919 sessions of Legislature, as Senator. Appointed by Governor.
Louis F. Hart as Chairman, Public Service Committee, State of Washington, 1919, later changed to Department of Public Works, served as Director till 1924. Appointed Superior Judge, by Governor. Hart to fill vacancy caused bv death of Superior Judge Chester F. Miller, 1924, elected to fill unexpired term, 1926, re-elected since 1928.
