Career
Ordained by Presbytery of New Castle (Delaware), 1818. Pastor of new congregation Hanover Saint Church, Wilmington, Delaware, 1829-1834, 35-40. Appointed trustee Newark (Delaware) College (now U. Delaware), chosen permanent president of the board, 1833, president college, 1834-1835, again president (on condition that school dispose of lottery which previously had been used to support it, 1840-1847.
