Elizabeth Ann was born on August 30, 1965 in Decatur, Georgia, United States. Daughter of William Jere and Sara Ann Housworth.

Education

In 1986 Elizabeth studied at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She received a degree of the Bachelor with highest honors in Mathematics. In 1992 she was a student of the University of Virginia in Virginia, United States. She received a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics.

Career

Elizabeth worked as a research assistant professor at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana from 1992 to 1994. In this year she was an Assistant professor at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, United States. She held this position until 2002. Since 1995 Elizabeth worked as an assistant professor at the Dunham Jackson University of Minnesota in Minnesota, Minnesota, United States. She worked there for a year. From 2002 to 2010 she was an associate professor at the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Since 2010 she worked as a professor at the Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, United States.

Achievements

• Elizabeth received Grantee Modeling Recombination by National Science Foundation from 2003 to 2006, (Co-Principal Investigator) FIBR: Causes and Consequences of Recombination from 2003 to 2008, IGMS: Probability Statistics in Ecology, Evolution from 2000 to 2001, Isoperimetric-Type Inequalities Arising from the Study of Brownian Motion in Domains Normalized by Inradius from 1995 to 1997. Elizabeth is a recipient G.T. Whyburn fellow of the University of Virginia from 1986 to 1987.
