Studied at Edinburgh Ladies’ College. Royal Holloway College (Scholar). Gained London University and Gilchrist Scholarships as 1st Honours student in matriculation.
Was Gilchrist Medallist in Bachelor of Arts, and took 1st class Honours in English.
