This book presents real-life experiences using newspaper classified ads. The book includes step by step instructions and lessons that can easily be followed by parents and teachers. It is important to provide students with the opportunity to practice practical life skills in real life situations. This book provides activities and simulations to place students in an actual occupation while a budget is completed. There is an overview and dialogue provided for the instructor, and student worksheets which include calculating a budget for each step. Included are two actual job applications and job interview questions. The fun continues while students select a car, place to live and groceries, and figuring the budget each step of the way. The students can even plan a vacation as a culminating activity. There are a number of decisions and open ended questions that need to be answered.
