GONZÁLEZ NAVERO, Emiliano was born in June 1861 in Department of Caraquatay. Son of Nicanor Navero and Maria Dolores González.

Career

Judge of the Civil and Criminal Courts and of the Superior Tribunal of Justice, 1887-1894. National senator, 1895-1900, 1913-1916, 1924- 1928. Minister of Finance, 19041906.

Vice-President of the Republic, 1908.

Upon the death of the President called to serve in that capacity until 1910. Provisional President of the Republic, 1912.

Minister of War and Marine, 1917— 1918. Vice-President of the Republic, 1928-1932, during which time he also exercised the Executive Power for several months.

Member of the National Council of Education at various times.

Legal adviser of the municipality of Asunción and of the National Department of Hygiene and Public Welfare.
