Bock graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and sculpture from Emily Carr University of Art and Design then began studying film production at Concordia University while a resident of the Laboratory Synthese loft space.

She has directed music videos for Arcade Fire, Lorde, Grizzly Bear, and Grimes. Bock was born in 1983 or 1984 in Toronto, Ontario. After directing the music video for Grimes" song "Oblivion", Bock withdrew from her study.
Bock appreciated the music videos of Daft Punk, Radiohead, and the Foo Fighters—directed by Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, and Jonathan Glazer—while growing up.
