Vying for Mission Michigan
In April 2009, Kieliszewski was named Mission Sunrise Side 2009. She competed in the 2010 Mission Michigan pageant with the platform "Influencing Children Toward a Healthy and Productive Life" and a ball acrobatics performance to "Entry of the Gladiators" by Julius Fučík in the talent portion of the competition. She was not a Top-10 semi-finalist for the state title and earned a $500 non-finalist scholarship award.
Kieliszewski competed in the 2011 Mission Michigan pageant as Mission Tip of the Mitt 2011 with the platform "Doctorate.A.R.E. Program" and a musical theater dance to "Mink, Schmink" by Eartha Kitt in the talent portion of the competition.
She competed in the 2012 Mission Michigan pageant as Mission Southwest Michigan 2012 with the platform "The Love of a Family: Adopting America"s Children" and an acrobatics performance in the talent portion of the competition. She was not a Top-10 semi-finalist for the state title.
Kieliszewski competed in the 2013 Mission Michigan pageant as Mission Capital City 2013 with the platform "The Love of a Family: Adopting America"s Children" and an acrobatics performance in the talent portion of the competition. She was not a Top-5 finalist for the state title.
She competed in the 2014 Mission Michigan pageant as Mission Mid Michigan 2014 with the platform "The Love of a Family: Adopting America"s Children" and a dance performance in the talent portion of the competition.
Mission Michigan 2015
On July 12, 2014, Kieliszewski was crowned Mission Stateline 2015 making her eligible for a sixth attempt at the state title. She entered the Mission Michigan pageant at Muskegon"s Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts in June 2015 as one of 34 qualifiers. Kieliszewski"s competition talent was tap dancing to "U Can"t Touch This" by Military Cross Hammer.
Her platform is "Adopting America"s Children", a campaign to raise awareness of children seeking permanent families.
She earned more than $12,000 in scholarship money and other prizes from the state pageant. As Mission Michigan, her activities include public appearances across the state of Michigan.
Kieliszewski is a native of Alpena, Michigan, and a 2009 graduate of Alpena High School. Her father, Steve Kieliszewski, is the sheriff of Alpena County.
Her mother, Erin McDonnell Kieliszewski, is a teacher.
Kieliszewski is a May 2013 graduate of Michigan State University where she earned a bachelor"s degree in political science.
