Career
She is best known for her work with big bands and her continuing collaboration with noted Australian virtuoso James Morrison. First singing with her high school band at 14, Pask was first discovered by Morrison at a school performance in 1994 at 16. From then on, she has been the vocal feature of the bands of James Morrison.
She also has a background in acting.
In 1995 she undertook a one-year part-time course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (National Institute on Drug Abuse) young actor"s studio. She has performed to audiences of up to 80,000 people,
Sung in London at The Queen Elizabeth Hall with the British Broadcasting Corporation Concert Orchestra,
Played support for George Benson on his tour of Australia.
Performed in China with The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra,
In Auckland with the New Zealand Philharmonic, with the Washington Symphony Orchestra in Perth. Recorded with the British Broadcasting Corporation Big Band in London.
Performed at the Phillips International Jazz Festival in Kuala Lumpur,
Toured her band ‘The Emma Pask Quintet’ through Laos and Singapore
Performed in Rome, Italy,
And has performed at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Emma has featured on Channel 9’s Carols by Candlelight live from the Sidney-Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. Emma received rave reviews for her performances in Uruguay, South America. And is a regular at the prestigious Ascona Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
She was also in the musical Evie and the Birdman, written by John Field.
