Career
She began her career in the performances at the age of 15 as a model.
In 1995 she played parts in soap operas and in her first movie, Black Holes directed by Pappi Corsicato; then she had a supporting role in Graduates directed by Leonardo Pieraccioni, which brought her to the attention of the moviegoing public.
She continued acting in other movies and stage productions, such as A pretty story of a woman e Liolà at the side of Gianfranco Jannuzzo and under the direction of Gigi Proietti.
In 2000 Manuela Arcuri was considered a sex symbol, she appeared in a calendar for the magazine GenteViaggi. The following year, she posed for another calendar, this time for the magazine Panorama, obtaining a great success.
She participated as a leading actress in the video of hit songs such as " Liberi da noi " by Gigi D'Alessio, "Somewhere here on heart" by Prince and " Ancora qui " by Renato Zero.
On 19 July 2002 on the seafront of Porto Cesareo a statue of Manuela Arcuri was placed with the inscription "The sea of Porto Cesareo to Manuela Arcuri symbol of beauty and prosperity." This event has caused various reactions of people, until the statue was removed by the new administration (March 30, 2010).
