Enoch Dumbutshena

Dumbutshena, Enoch was born on April 25, 1920 in Chegutu, Zimbabwe. Son of Job Matabasi Dumbutshena and Sarah Chendzra (Munyaradzi) Nyamuparadzi.

Career

Worked as teacher, journalist and legal practitioner. Legal Adviser to African National Congress (ANC), Vie. Falls Constitutional Negotiations, S. Rhodesia 1975, to UANC, Geneva Constitutional Conference 1976.

Institute Constitutional Conference 1978. Member of Parliament for Zimbabwe Democratic Party 1979. Judge since 1980; Judge President, High Court of Zimbabwe since 1983.

Chief Justice of Zimbabwe 1984-1990. President Zimbabwe National Conservation Trust. Chairman Law Review Commission since 1988, Omay Development Trust, Art Printers Employees’ Trust, Modus Publications, Legal Resources Foundation, Child Protection Society.
