Graduated from the Don Cadet Corps, 1904, the Mikhailovskoe Artillery School, 1907, and from the Military Academy, 1913.
During World War I, adjutant of the Ataman of all Cossack Armies, Grand Duke Boris Vladimirovich. During the Civil War, Chief-of-staff of the 3rd Don Cossack Division (White). Evacuated from the Crimea after the defeat of the Whites.
Worked as a topographer in Yugoslavia. During World War II, adjutant of the 1st Regiment of the German Army’s Russian Corps in Yugoslavia, fighting communist partisans. After World War II, in DP camps in Germany.
Moved to France.
