Robinson, Erdis was born on January 24, 1872 in Champaign, Illinois, United States. Son of Stillman Williams and Mary Elizabeth (Holden) Robinson.

C.E., Ohio State University, 1893.

Career

Surveyor for Kansas City, Watkins & Gulf Railway, 1894-1897. Div. engineer, later assistant chief engineer, Mexican Central Railway, 1897-1904. With Robinson-Houchin Optical Company (formerly Robinson Optical Company) since 1904, president since 1910.
