Eric Campbell was a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia and the leader of the New Guard Fascist movement.
Career
He was gassed twice in World War 1. He returned from WW1 on board the Anchises in April 1919. Major Campbell was admitted as a solicitor to practice in NSW in 1919.
In 1938 Campbell was charged with defrauding Du Menier Laboratories of "large sums of money".
He was subsequently acquitted.
Politics
Campbell established the Centre Party in December 1933 as an offshoot of the New Guard, and unsuccessfully contested Lane Cove at the 1935 state election, polling 16.7 percent of the vote.
