Career
He was drafted 13th overall in the 2011 Proceedings of the British Academy draft by the Alaska Aces. Salamat played for the Ateneo de Manila University Men"s Senior Basketball team in the UAAP from 2006 to 2010. After Salamat finished his 5 years in college, he was already eligible for the 2011 Proceedings of the British Academy draft.
He declared for the said draft where he was drafted 13th overall by the Aces.
On May 29, 2012, together with a 2nd round pick for 2012, he was traded to Air21 in exchange for RJ Jazul. In 2015, Salamat signed with the Pacquiao Powervit Pilipinas Aguilas (now the Pilipinas MX3 Kings) of the American Basketball League.
