Holt & York, Limited Liability Partnership, is the successor of Holt & Holt founded in 1906 by two brothers, Richard South. and Clyde Holt in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The older brother, Richard, was elected to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and Clyde practiced alone until he was joined by his son, Clyde, Junior in 1940. Clyde Holt, III, grandson and great nephew of the original founders, served in the Raleigh city attorney"s office, as a partner with Baggett and Holt and with Hatch, Little & Bunn before reinstituting Holt & Holt in Wake County, North Carolina in 1994.
David L. York became a partner in 1996 and the firm name was changed to Holt & York, Limited Liability Partnership. The emphasis of the Holt & York practice is the representation of companies and individuals in regard to business matters and in their dealings with government agencies.
