Eric P. Quain

Background

Quain, Eric P. was born on August 22, 1870 in Sorsjon, Dalecarlia, Sweden. Son of Per H. and Margaret (Ericson) Quain.

Education

Doctor of Medicine University of Minnesota, 1898.

Career

Came to United States, 1888, became a naturalized citizen, 1895. Began practice at Bismarck, North Dakota, 1899. Organized the Quain & Ramstad Clinic (20 members), 1910, and served as chief of staff until 1939.

Now retired except as surgical consultant.

Former coroner and health officer, Bismarck. Served as lieutenant colonel Medical Corps, United States Army, with American Expeditionary Forces, World War I.

Organized medical unit known as Base Hospital Northern 60, American Expeditionary Force. Now colonel medical, inactive.
